There is a need to surface these practices based on greater people-to-people interaction based on the practices of communities.
Three cases of alternative practices were discussed in a workshop that was organized by the Program on Alternative Development (AltDev) of the UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP CIDS) during the ASEAN Civil Society Conference/ASEAN Peoples’ Forum (ACSC/APF) 2019 held last September 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. These were the Mae Tao Clinic located in Mae Sot at the Thai-Burma border, the community-managed fisheries in Cambodia, and the continuing campaign against the Pak Mun Dam in Thailand.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_btn title=”DOWNLOAD PDF” style=”flat” color=”inverse” size=”lg” align=”center” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-arrow-circle-down” add_icon=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fdrive.google.com%2Ffile%2Fd%2F1eMOLEbT1RWVgU9eOoIz25DSANoTI63jS%2Fview||target:%20_blank|”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
