National Security and Economic Resilience: The Sixth Katipunan Conference

The UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (CIDS) invites everyone to the 6th Katipunan Conference on 5 November 2024, 9:00 am–5:00 pm (Philippine Standard Time) at The Loft, Areté, Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon City. Interested participants can visit the conference website and pre-register.

About the Conference

This policy research conference gathers the country’s scholars and practitioners in defense and development policy, featuring the latest thinking on the country’s security and economic development strategies. It builds on recent efforts to integrate these two spheres more effectively.

Present geopolitical shifts entail significant economic risks and opportunities, placing a premium on policymakers’ ability to absorb the latest data and analysis on national security and global economic trends. This event responds to this, and it is envisioned as an annual gathering to support greater coherence among the country’s top scholars. It also aims to ensure effectiveness through firmly integrated defense and development strategies. View full conference concept note.
