Job Opportunity @ UP CIDS: Graphic Designer

In partnership with the UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP CIDS), the Office of the Vice President for Legal Affairs is seeking one (1) Conference Graphic Designer under a Job Order (JO) basis with a contract rate of PhP 50,000 (gross). Application deadline is 26 January 2025, 11:59 pm.


Overview

Contract duration is from February to April 2025. Exact start date will depend on the approval of the UP administration. Further details may be discussed during the interviews of shortlisted candidates.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, and prepare final artworks of the following conference-related graphics:
    • Social media visuals – main event poster, promotional and supplementary posts
    • Print collaterals – book of abstracts with cover, banners, lanyard
    • Miscellaneous visuals – Slide presentations template, Zoom background, LED backdrop
  • Collaborate with the event secretariat, UP CIDS Executive Director, and UP CIDS Publications Unit in understanding and finalizing project requirements.
  • Apply a maximum of three (3) minor revisions set by the event secretariat, UP CIDS Executive Director, and/or UP CIDS Publications Unit.
  • Ensure brand consistency and design coherence across all conference-related graphics.
  • Assist in print- and other graphics-related concerns.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Digital Multimedia, or other related course
  • Expertise and/or experience in graphic design for events and/or conferences is highly preferred. Experience with publications is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Canva
  • Good understanding of design principles.
