The Webinar and Speaker

“Data Scraping for Social Research” focuses on the use of scraping valuable pieces of information in data-rich online platforms. Learning how to harness data that is readily available and open to the public allows researchers to utilize larger datasets and new methodologies in data analysis.

The webinar will be led by Dr. Vladimer Kobayashi, an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science at the University of the Philippines Mindanao; and Ms. Novy Aila Rivas, Research Assistant of the Culture Data Science Project.
