The webinar was organized by the Islamic Studies Program (ISP) of the University of the Philippines Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP CIDS), in partnership with the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The webinar aims to discuss the challenge of having to adapt protocols and procedures for the management of the dead in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic while, at the same time, ensuring their dignity and respect through established rites and rituals in Islam and Islamic law.
