Save the date! | Sulu Project 2025

Join us this April 23 to 25, as we bring together eminent scholars and local stakeholders for an important conversation about the Sulu zone’s path towards a peaceful and prosperous future. Committed in fostering a just, equitable, and sustainable society, the University of the Philippines, through the Center for Integrative and Development Studies, Office of the Vice President for Legal Affairs, Office of the Vice President for Public Affairs, UP College of Law and UP Law Center, UP Mindanao, and the UP Bangsamoro Development Initiatives together with the Mindanao State University (MSU) Sulu will convene the Sulu Project 2025: Lupa’ Sug and the Path Ahlu s-Suluk—International Conference on Sulu History and Power at the Sumadja Hall, Sulu Provincial Capitol, Jolo, Sulu.
This conference explores the Sulu zone’s centrality within the region’s historic international linkages, the Bangsamoro political project, the southern maritime economic corridor, and development prospects. The trajectory and dynamics of transition towards a post-conflict and post-BARMM order will be examined.
