UP CIDS and the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) Explore Research Synergies
On April 27, 2026, the UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP CIDS) convened with the Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Environment Staff (ANRES) of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) to explore strategic research partnerships. The meeting aimed to address critical gaps in Philippine natural resource management and environmental governance through data-driven academic cooperation.
The primary focus of the meeting was the discussion of possible research studies between DEPDev-ANRES and UP CIDS. Both institutions emphasized the necessity of bridging academic rigor with the practical requirements of national development planning.

As part of the Center’s commitment to making “Research for the People,” UP CIDS presented complimentary copies of its scholarly publications to the DEPDev team. These materials serve as immediate resources for the staff’s ongoing policy review and development work.
The exchange featured a high-level technical team representing the UP CIDS delegation, its partners, and DEPDev leadership.
