UP CIDS launches podcast channel, PSPC focuses on migrant Filipinos in first series
The University of the Philippines Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP CIDS) launched its podcast channel, UP CIDS Podcasts, last July 5, 2021, with “Ugnayang Migrante” of the Program on Social and Political Change (PSPC) as its first offering.
UP CIDS Podcasts aims to bring insightful and interdisciplinary discussions on various areas of Philippine public policy and serves as a new medium for the various research programs of the UP CIDS to present their respective research agenda and outputs to a wider audience in an engaging and entertaining way.
The “Ugnayang Migrante” series of the PSPC tackles burning issues faced by migrant Filipinos and their families, as well as the nation’s migration agenda. Hosted by Dr. Jean Encinas-Franco of the UP Department of Political Science and Asst. Prof. Jeremiah Opiniano of the University of Santo Tomas, the first four episodes of the series focuses on the concept of migration and development (M&D), and features Rodrigo V. Garcia, Jr. and Marie Del Rosario-Apattad of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO).
