UP CIDS Program on Alternative Development-UNESCO Project Highlighted in Inquirer Article
In an Inquirer article on communities struggling against poverty, the UP CIDS Program on Alternative Development’s collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on a project on COVID-19 responses of grassroots communities was featured.
The article focused on the situation of some families in Bulacan, Pampanga, and Quezon City fending themselves amid the government response in the pandemic. The article also looked into the pandemic’s effect on the urban poor community, women’s micro social enterprise, an indigenous people’s community and a school for indigenous children and youth and possible ways forward.
