UP CIDS to Hold Orientation on 2027 Policy Research Grant Applications
To assist University of the Philippines (UP) faculty members and researchers in developing competitive proposals, the UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP CIDS) will hold an online Application Walkthrough & Proposal Orientation for the 2027 UP CIDS Policy Research Grant on September 21, 2026 (Monday), from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NN via Zoom.
The orientation aims to provide prospective applicants with a clear, step-by-step overview of the application mechanics and evaluation criteria. Participants will gain practical guidance on aligning their research interests with national policy priorities, navigating eligibility and team composition requirements across UP constituent units, and structuring budgetary proposals within the grant’s scope.
Key sessions during the orientation include:
- Alignment of Topic Interest: Strategies for framing academic research to directly address key public policy challenges.
- Eligibility & Team Composition: Specific guidelines regarding main proponents, co-researchers, and multi-disciplinary team setups.
- Budgetary Scope & Proposal Mechanics: Clarification on allowable expenses, funding parameters, and submission procedures.
- Open FAQ Segment: An interactive session addressing applicant inquiries regarding project timelines, deliverables, and review processes.
