Job Opportunity: Layout Artist @ UP CIDS

The UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP CIDS) Publications Unit is looking for one (1) Layout Artist (Senior Project Assistant) under a Contract of Service (CoS), with a monthly rate of PhP 40,611.56 (gross). Application deadline is 4 April 2024.

Overview

  • Contract starts July 2024 and may be renewed every 6 months thereafter, subject to performance and/or the need of UP CIDS.
  • The accepted applicant will report to work on 1 July 2024 at the earliest.
  • Work will be onsite, eight hours per weekday

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lay out inside pages of policy papers and, on occasion, reports and special CIDS publications (e.g. catalog)
  • Create/design covers of policy papers via existing templates; for reports and special CIDS Publications; and for the website
  • Help design new cover templates for 2025
  • Help ensure excellent print quality of UP CIDS publications
  • Create/improve publicity materials via new and/or existing templates (such as this ad), and design, on occasion, special ads (e.g. Call for Papers)
  • Perform occasional administrative/finance work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Digital Multimedia, or other related course
  • Expertise and/or experience in/with Adobe Indesign and Adobe Photoshop, and in printing/publications
  • Can design according to UP CIDS branding (corporate/formal/academic)
