Putting Transport Workers and Commuters First: The Route to Just Transition in Public Transport Modernization Policy
This policy brief highlights the importance of adopting a worker-led and pro-people, Just Transition approach in developing and implementing public transportation policies and programs. The authors share a set of policy recommendations geared towards genuine development and transport reform.
Pasadang Pandemic: The Impact of COVID-19 on Transport Workers
This discussion paper looks at the scope and scale of the difficulties confronting workers in the transport industry amidst the pandemic, using a human-rights-based approach as a lens. The paper ends with a set of policy recommendations founded on the transport workers’ own demands for the redress of grievances.
Addressing the “blind side” of the government’s jeepney “modernization” program
This research aims to add a “mirror” to see and cover the “blind side” of PUVMP. The author presents both short-term and long-term recommendations and actions to achieve localized PUV modernization.
