About Task-Force of Nation-Building and UP CIDS

As DZUP put it, the Task Force on Nation-Building was established last year (2021) to organize the #PILIpiLUNAS2022 webinar series that focused on the UPD academic community’s research in order to draw up evidence-based policy recommendations as the country transitions to the “next normal” under a new administration.” Apart from various webinars, it also published its “Governance Agenda for a Sustainable, Inclusive and Innovation-Driven National Development” (free download) in April 2022. The Task Force was headed by Professor Antoinette Raquiza of the UP Asian Center and Convenor of the Political Economy Program of the UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP CIDS)

The UP CIDS is the policy research unit of the UP System that aims to address problems of national significance through an integrative and collaborative approach in the conduct of studies on various aspects of public policy. With the Center’s twelve research Programs, UP CIDS publishes policy briefs, discussion papers, monographs, conference proceedings, and a journal, all of which are available for free downloads. These include the discussion paper, “Addressing the “blind side” of the government’s jeepney “modernization” program.”
